Indigenous Resources

As part of the licensing process, ACLS members are required to study First Nation governance issues. With a strong understanding of each client’s land administration and unique needs, Canada Lands Surveyors (CLS’s) are equipped to provide solutions that address both immediate priorities and long-term objectives.

 

The Association partnered with the National Aboriginal Lands Managers Association (NALMA) in advancing awareness and education in surveying in First Nation communities . The ACLS has established a working relationship with First Nations Land Management Resource Centre Inc.

 

The Surveyor General Branch has conducted research on property rights issues on Indigenous Lands in Canada and published the following reports.
